    3. Hi Team My grateful thanks to all who helped me with my search for Vivienne Wilson especially Jocelyn who went more than the extra mile. I have now found Vivienne's son Clive and have been able to telephone him in California. It was a huge thrill to make contact again after all these years and doubly so as he was pleased to make the contact I trust you all have a very happy Christmas season and good ancestor hunting in 2007. As the Maori people of New Zealand say Kia Kaha Keep Strong... Diane Wilson

    3. Checked Funeral Notices and Obituaries in the Santa Rosa Press Democrat - thought I had her - there is a ESTHER E. Wilson who died the same day, but she was a native of Keokuk IA age 79. I kept at it and BINGO - got her. Mentions Victoria Wilson of Santa Rosa as grandchild... And Cynthia Wilson of Pasadena CA. Copied this for you, need your address. There are two articles for her... Sandra -----Original Message----- From: Diane Wilson [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Saturday, December 09, 2006 8:55 PM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: CASONOMA Digest, Vol 1, Issue 48 Thank you very much Sandrah So you don't waste your time I now know that Vivienne was formerly WEEKES. I have her parents names but nothing on Clive who I hoped to find through his Mothers death notice. Clive if he survived the War and married would have the last legitimate line to George Washington Wilson who was Court Photographer to Queen Victoria and who took the fabulous photos of the family and Balmoral Castle. Any clues towards Clive would be excellent. If I purchase Vivienne's death certificate would that give me names and ages of any children and any other clues.. I found the obit for William and have other information on both the Plum's & Dryden's if you'd like. I have yet to get a solid lead on William's parents other than his mother was a Bedell according to the CDI though. Have you had any luck? The Press Democrat August 19, 1941 William H. Plum, who fought with Admiral David Farragut in the battle of Mobile Bay, on of the decisive sea battles of the Civil War, died Sunday at a Santa Rosa hospital. He was 93 years of age. Plum had been retired from business here for years. In good health most of the time, he was stricken ill about three weeks ago and removed to the hospital. Coming to Santa Rosa more than half a century ago, Plum operated a baggage and express service here and for years had charge of hauling baggage between the depots and the Occidental hotel. His horse-drawn express wagon can be remembered by many of the old time residents of the city. As a youth he had lived in New Jersey and with the start of the Civil War, joined the navy. He accompanied Admiral Farragut when he was assigned to the west gulf blockading squadron. Survivors include his widow, Mrs Nancy Plum and the following sons and daughters: William H. Plum, Jr and Bessie Plum of Santa Rosa, James M. Plum of Plumas County and Mrs Elsie Pratt of Fresno. Plum had resided in recent years on Cleveland Ave. Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon from the chapel at the Welti Funeral Parlors under the auspices of Theodore Roosevelt post of the American Legion with the Rev. O. V. Wilkison officiating. Interment will follow in the Odd Fellows cemetery.
