Rainier, 78, died Sunday in a local hospital following a long illness. He was born in Brashear, Mo., and had resided in Vallejo for 43 years. He worked as a real estate broker for 40 years, retiring in 1975. He was a distributor for Stan- dard Oil in Missouri before moving to Vallejo. In the '50s and '60s, he worked for the Vallejo Redevelop- ment Agency and also worked for Conger Realty. He was a retired U.S. Navy vet- eran and served during World War II. He was a member of the Paul- ville Lodge No. 319 A.F.&A.M. of Hurdland, Mo.; Scottish Rite of San Jose; Ben Ali Temple of Sac- ramento, and the Solano County Shrine Club. He is survived by his wife, Vera of Vallejo; several nieces and a nephew. Services will be held Saturday in the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Etlina, Mo. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F.
