Following is a transcript of an obituary from the Vallejo Times-Herald, dated May 29, 1994: "Gary Howard VALLEJO -- Gary V. How- ard, 65, died Friday at home af- ter a long illness. A native of Lane County in Or- egon, Mr. Howard was a resident of Vallejo for the past three years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving from 1955-57, and was employed as a truck driver for 30 years, retiring in 1991. Mr. Howard is survived by his wife, Marie Howard of Vallejo; two daughters, Christine Deleon, of Foresthill, and Minta Joyce, of Redwood City; his parents, Her- bert Howard, of Springfield, Ore- gon, Viola Calabrese, of Cotati, his stepmother, Emma Howard, of Springfield, Oregon; his sis- ters, Jeanne Howard, of Cotati, Diane Hadley, of Spokane, WA., his brother, Wayne Howard, of Springfield, Oregon, and four grandchildren. At Mr. Howard's request, no services will be held. Arrange- ments are under the direction of Twin Chapels Mortuary. Inurn- ment is private."
