Ekstrom, 76, died Saturday at home following a long illness. Born in Washburn, N.D., Mr. Ekstrom was a resident of Vallejo. He worked for 10 years for Pacific Gas & Electric before work- ing as a transport driver for Consolidated Freightways for 20 years. Mr. Ekstrom was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, the Vallejo Elks Lodge No. 559, and the Loyal Order of the Moose. He is survived by his wife, Barbara of Val- lejo; daughers, Susan Middleton of San Die- go, Ellen of Berkeley, and Anne Reyes of Ro- deo; stepdaughers, Denise Rollins and Michele Knecht, both of Washington, Kath- leen Jenny of Vallejo, and Karen Franklin of Alaska; sons, Stephen of San Francisco, Rob- bie Johnson of Florida, Kimberly of Red- lands, and Kevin of Vallejo; stepsons, Greg Stenzil of Sacramento, and Kenneth Berndt of Colorado; brothers, Glenn of Oakdale, and Lyle of Kingman, Ariz.; 28 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Services will be at 1 p.m. on Friday at St. Paul's Lutheran Chruch, with the Rev. Wil- liam Embree officiating. Burial will be in Skyview Memorial Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursday at Wiggins-Knipp Funeral Home. Contributions may be made to the Chris- tian Help Center, 2166 Sacramento St., Valle- jo, 94590."
