MORAN -------- Mrs. Catherine Moran, for many years a prominent Vallejo resident, passed away yesterday in Piedmont at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Rita Bettencourt, after an illness of the past two months. Mrs. Mo- ran was a native of Virginia, aged 73. Until a short time ago Mrs. Moran made her home in Vallejo with her son, George E. Moran and leaves a wide circle of friends in this city. She was the wife of the late Terrance J. Moran, the mother of Mrs. Rita Bettencourt of Piedmont, Mrs. Marcella Mahony of Honolulu, Dr. Edwin Moran of Los Angeles, Dr. Frederick J. Mo- ran of San Francisco, George E. Moran of Vallejo and the late Os- car Moran. She is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Margaret Turner, of Los Angeles. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 tomorrow morning from the J. J. McDonald mortuary, followed by a requiem high mass at St. Vincent's church at 10 a. m. and interment in St. Vincent's ceme- tery."
