Born in Lawrence, Kan., Mr. House lived in Fairfield for 26 years. He worked at concord Na- val Weapons Station as a quality assurance inspector for 17 years, retiring in 1986. Mr. House served in the Kan- sas National Guard and U.S. Army, retiring in 1966 at Fort Bliss, Texas. He served during World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He is survived by his wife, Veta of Fairfield; two daughters, Brenda Chernoff of Atwater and Debra McBeain of Faifield; a son, Don of Fairfield; a sister, Lucile Hamlet of Oregon and five grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Bryan- Braker Funeral Home with Min- ister Otis Harper of Vacaville Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be private in Gold- en Gate National Cemetery in San Bruno with full military hon- ors. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society at 1312 Maryland St., Fairfield, or North Bay Medical Center Hospice at 1800 Pennsyl- vania St., Fairfield."
