Rev. Gene Dodson of the Castlewood Baptist Church and Rev. Kenneth Bowen of the Bible Baptist Church of- ficiated. Burial was in Skyview Memorial Lawn. Pallbearers were Ralph C. Drury, Raymond G. Thompson, G. E. Mangold, Michael Allen and Ernest Newcomb." Following is a transcript of an obituary from the Vallejo Times-Herald, dated Jun. 27, 1998: "Sallie Allen (June 21, 1902-June 25, 1998) Sallie Mae Allen died Thursday following a brief illness. She was 96. Mrs. Allen was born in Culleoko, Texas, and had lived in Vallejo for 52 years before moving to American Canyon five years ago. Mrs. Allen was a homemak- er, a member of First United Methodist Church of Vallejo and she enjoyed crocheting and working in the church nursery. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence. Mrs. Allen is survived by a daughter, Oleta Adcock of American Canyon; son, Alton of American Canyon; four grandchildren, five great- grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Visitation is Tuesday, noon-5 p.m., at Wiggins Knipp Funeral Home. Funeral services are Wednesday, 11 a.m. at Wiggins Knipp with the Rev. Gene dodson of North Hills Baptist Church officiating. Contributions are preferred to First United Methodist Church Nursery, 502 Virginia St., Vallejo, or North Hills Baptist Church Nursery, 200 Admiral Callahan Lane, Vallejo."
