That was very fast. My mother (daughter of Joseph Lewis/Luiz and Ida Vierra/Vieira) never told me we were Portuguese or that her first language wasn't English. I've just started researching and unfortunately there are no relatives that are I know of who know anything about the family. I had never heard of the SPRSI and that sounds like a great place to start. I'm now living in San Diego where there is also a large Portuguese population, so they might be able to help me figure out how to uncover the mysteries of my family.
