Falkenthal George H. Falkenthal, 87, of 1022 Florida St., died Tuesday in his home after a short illness. A native of Chicago, he was a Vallejo resident for 55 years. He was a leading man machin- ist in Shop 31, Mare Island Naval Shipyard, where he was employed for 30 years, retiring in 1946. He was a member of St. Vin- cent's Parish, Holy Name soci- ety, Council No. 874, Third De- gree, Knights of Columbua; Alta Mira General Assembly, Fourth Degree, Knights of Co- lumbus; Catholic Knights of America, Herman's Lodge No. 30, Vallejo Lodge No. 252, IAM, and the National Association of Federal Employes, Solano Chapter No. 16. He was the oldest past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus. A Requiem Mass will be cele- brated at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Vincent's Church. Entombment will be in All Souls Cemetery.
