Lucille Elnore (Taylor) Laverne, born Jan 6, 1917, California; died Mar 19, 1943 in Solano County. Following is a transcript of an obituary from the Times-Herald, Vallejo, dated Mar. 21, 1943: "Murder Victim, Suicide Will Lie Side By Side Mr. and Mrs. Henry F. La- Verne, victims of a domestic tragedy in their home, 530 Jersey street, late Friday afternoon, will be buried side-by-side in Masonic and Odd Fellows cemetery, ac- cording to present plans. Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in the J. J. McDonald mor- tuary with Rev. Lester F. Eisel officiating. Mrs. LaVerne was apparently slain by her husband during an argument, following which he took his own life, according to a police investigation.
