In 1901, he was residing at 519 Sacramento street. From 1904 to 1923, he was residing at 237 Virginia street. John died on 21 May 1925. Following is a transcript of an obituary from the Vallejo Times-Herald, dated 22 May 1925: "McGrane Funeral To Be Held On Saturday Funeral services for John Mc- Grane, 66, who passed away at Suisun yesterday, will be held Sat- urday afternoon from McDonald's Undertaking parlors. Interment will be in Masonic and Odd Fel- lows cemetery. Surviving McGrane are two chil- dren, a daughter, Mrs. Anita Mac- Kenzie, 715 Monterey street and a son, Gene McGrane, Gordon Valley engineer." Sarah (Brockman) McGrane died on 10 Mar 1923 in San Francisco. I could not locate an obituary for her in the Vallejo newspapers. Eugene L. McGrane is listed in the Vallejo city directories during the period 1918-1942.
