Notes for MARGARET ELLEN DOBSON: Margaret Ellen Dobson was the adopted daughter of James Dobson and Nellie Bell Relyea Dobson. She was adopted in California about 1920. She was known as Ellen and became deaf about age 13. Her adoptive mother, Nellie, was killed in an auto accident on 24 January 1928 in Woodland, Yolo County, CA. She moved to New Plymouth, Idaho when James Dobson married Veda Rose Relyea Bower, Nellie's sister. Ellen was later married, moved to New York and was killed in an auto accident.
