    1. [CASOLANO] Henry Deakin obituary
    2. Darlene Casteel
    3. Hello, I am looking for an obituary or death notice for Henry Clay Deakin. He is found in Vacaville on the 1900 census. By 1910, his wife is widowed, still living in Vacaville. I have checked the California death index at Vital Search, and he does not appear there, so I am making the assumption that he died between 1900 and 1905. Is there someone on this list who might check local newspapers or death records, or give me some guidance as to how to proceed? Thank you, Darlene

There were two daughters, Rebecca, who married Robert Shaw in 1908, and Miriam Frances, who married Joseph Waits in 1915. Miriam "Mamie" Westfall Waits is my wife's paternal grandmother. As far as I know, these were the only marriages of both women. Son Thomas, whom you mentioned, was my wife's step-grandfather, since he married her maternal grandmother, Goldie Tulley Wilson--a second marriage for both. Thus she has both a blood and a marriage connection to the Westfalls. Alvy Westfall's sister, Louise Lulu, married (1) William Marchand and (2) Clarence Huston. Clarence's twin brother, Lawrence, had a daughter Helen, who was the first wife of the youngest Westfall son, Frank). Please feel free to contact me directly for more information and photos. Perhaps I can find out more to see if the Curley connection is one that ties in. The name doesn't ring a bell, but perhaps there is some connection. My e-mail is RTCAMPBELL@worldnet.att.net
