The California Death Index lists: John R. Bleakley, Feb. 26, 1874 -- May 25, 1944, Solano County. Amelia Bleakley, age 61, died Apr. 27, 1936, Solano County. Samuel Bleakley, Jan. 26, 1885, England -- Aug. 31, 1968, Solano County. Mary E. Bleakley, Mar. 13, 1883 -- Dec. 27, 1976, Solano County. I could not find an obituary for John. However, I did find obituaries for Samuel and his wife Mary. Following is a transcript of an obituary from the Vallejo Times-Herald, dated Sep. 1, 1968: "Samuel Bleakley Samuel Bleakley, 83, of 156 Woodrow Ave., died Saturday in a local hospital after a long il- lness. Mr. Bleakley, a native of England and a Vallejo resident for 58 years, was a retired boilerroom fireman from Mare Island Navy Yard. He also was a 50-year member of San Pablo Lodge 43, IOOF. Mr. Bleakley is survived by his widow, Mary. A service is pending at Wiggins Funeral Home." Following is a transcript of an obituary from the Times-Herald, Vallejo, dated Dec. 28, 1976: "Vallejoan Dies at 95 Mrs. Mary E. Nolin BENICIA -- Mrs. Mary L. Nolin, 82, resident of Benicia for the past 15 years, died in a local rest home yesterday after a long illness. Mrs. Nolin, a native of Illi- nois, is survived by two sons James, with whom she made her home at 137 East J street, and George, also of Benicia. She also is survived by two brothers, both of Washington. The remains will be at the Passalacqua Funeral Home un- til 4 p.m. sunday and then sent to McAllen, Tex., for final rites and burial." Following is a transcript of an obituary from the Vallejo Times-Herald, dated Jan. 18, 1960: "Death Claims J. R. Nolin BENICIA -- James R. Nolin, 64, retired Navy sailor of 137 East J St., died yesterday after a brief illness. He was a native of Kansas. In recent years, he had been em- ployed as a custodial worker at the Veterans Memorial Building. Mr. Nolin is survived by a brother, George Nolin, residing in Benicia, and by a niece, Mrs. Mary Chance, of Vallejo. Funeral services will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Passalacqua Funeral Chapel. Rites will be con- ducted by Cmdr. H. W. Bucking- ham, (ChC), USN, Mare Island Naval Shipyard chaplain. A memorial service will be con- ducted at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday by members of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3928. Interment will be in McAllen, Tex." Nolin BENICIA -- George Thomas Nolin, 66, of 1025 West Second St., a re- tired Benicia businessman, died at his home yesterday after a long illness. Funeral services will be held in the Passalacqua Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Monday with Rev. A. S. Phillips, pastor of the Community Congregational Church officiating. Interment will be at McAllen, Tex."
