John's obit, below, from the Vallejo Times-Herald, dated May 1, 1975,implies that they were divorced when he died. "J. H. Botelho Dies At 49 John Harry Botelho, 49, of 320 A Evans St., died Wednesday in a Vallejo hos- pital after a short illness. A native of Oakland, he was a Vallejo resident for 28 years. He was a materials expediter at the Mare Island Naval Shipyard, where he was employed 29 years. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. Mr. Botelho is survived by a son, David of Vallejo; five daughters, Mrs. Joanne Hayes, Kathleen Botelho and Mrs. Penny Vander- burg, all of Vallejo; Mrs. Beverly Carey of Kentucky and Mrs. Jeannette Skid- more of Utah; parents, Joe of San Lorenzo and Mrs. Bella Reese of San Leandro; a brother, Gilbert of San Leandro; a sister, Mrs. Doris Richardson of Indiana, and seven grandchildren. A Catholic prayer service will be hel dat 2 p.m. Satur- day in Colonial Chapels. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery. Friends may call after 9 a.m. today at the mortuary." So, I checked the Vallejo city directories and found the following information: Norilee and her husband, John H. Botelho, first appeared in the Vallejo city directories in 1950. John was a guard at Mare Island Navy Yard and they resided at 39 Cunningham. In 1970, Norilee started working at Lee's Ceramic Supply, where she worked until 1982. In 1984, she was a dietary worker at Vallejo General Hospital. In 1985, she was a dietary worker at Sutter Solano Medical Center. In 1988 and 1991, she worked in housekeeping at Sutter Solano Medical Center. Following John's death in 1975, Norilee resided at 1883 Broadway Street, Space 9 (i.e., a mobile home).
