He was 84 years, 7 months old. Harold was born July 5, 1920, in Kalamma, Wash., to Margaret and Harry C. Bell. In the Spring of 1940, Harold met and fell in love with Lucy Jean Boone, and they were married June 13, 1942. Harold served in the Army Air Corps from 1942 to 1946, with an honorable discharge. On Jan. 18, 1953, they were blessed with a daughter, Susan Elaine, and on May 18, 1955, they were blessed again with a daughter, Barbara Jean. He worked as senior right of way agent for Santa Clara County for 34 years until he retired in 1983. Harold and Lucy subsequently moved to Vacaville, where he and Lucy lived until his death. Harold was preceded in death by his mother and father, Margaret and Harry C. Bell of Shelton, Wash.; his brother, Clarence C. Bell of Palm Springs; and a granddaughter, Katy. He is survived in life by his loving wife of 63 years, Lucy Bell; his daughter, Susan Mainland and her husband, Martin of Morgan Hill; daughter, Barbie Mutz and her husband, Mark of Morgan Hill; his grandchildren, Lisa and her husband, Dale; Jennifer and her husband, Stephen; John, Allison, Eric, Kristy and Alec; great-grandchildren, Andrew, Ashley, Myla and Amara. He also leaves many nieces and nephews. His sweet, cheerful nature and happy smile will be deeply missed. A memorial service with military honors will be held at their home in Vacaville at 2 p.m. Friday. It is the family's request that any contributions be made to NorthBay Hospice in the name of Harold R. Bell. I think it is possible that all 3 of these last names are not her maiden name, and that is what I am trying to find. I did find some records for her, she was married, possibly more than once, one time was in 1972 in Nevada. I think she was divorced in 1979 as well (from a different person then she married in 1972) She was born Sept 16, 1936. Her name had a couple spelling variations on these various documents including: Ann, Anne, Elizabet, and Elizabeth. I know she lived previously in CA, WA, and AZ. You can go to the Reporter as I went to Ancestry and there wasn't an obituary for your Harold Bell just the Social Security Death Index. I went to the reporter website and you can un-archive the obit but it will cost $2.95. _www.thereporter.com_ (http://www.thereporter.com) then go to the obituary site at top then on the right side of that page, you can choose all time and put in your Harold Bell's name. I don't live in Vacaville anymore but you may also try contacting either McCune's Funeral Home or the Vaca Hills Chapel depending on which one did his burial but they may not give you the information since the files are confidential information. Hopefully someone living in Vacaville or has access to the Reporter may help you further, good luck in your search.
