    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. So if this is a duplicate I apologize. My research of the Casners in Juniata County PA has not turned up the spelling "Kasner." I do find a John Casner in the 1800 census for Derry Township in Mifflin County (Juniata County was formed in 1831 from part of Mifflin County) listed as 26 to 44 years old. This would put him in the right bracket for a birth in 1773, but the census shows he had sons from 16 to 25, which doesn't work as he would have been 11 years old when he had even a 16 year old son. More info on my line. gg grandparents were Jethro Casner (1812-1876) and Elizabeth Porter (1815-1853). g grandparents were John H Casner (1842-1916) and Susan E Beidler (1835-1899). Grandparents were Jacob (Jay) Casner (1880-????)and Ada Naylor (1879-1970). Parents were Herbert Casner (1906-1983) and Naomi Hershey (1902-1996). All but my parents were born in Juniata County. I believe (but not definite yet) my ggg grandfather was Jacob Casner (abt 1784-1830). He immigrated from England to Juniata County. I'll keep your information on file and let you know if I run across anything. thanks for sharing. Herb Casner Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
