I have been researching my Casner surname for several years, but still have a few gaps (mostly with the women of whom I do not know who they married). I have to believe out there somewhere are persons of my particular line that can give me clues where to find informaiton to filling in missing gaps. My Casner family arrived in MO in 1821; many descendants in MO and surrounding states. One son, Henry Casner, marries in 1822 in Ray Co., MO to Jincy Jane Fields. They have 12 sons and 1 daughter. They live between MO and IA and in 1847 in IA Henry dies leaving Jincy with all those children. In 1852 Jincy and all but one son migrate to OR. From there the sons spread throughout the West and Pacific Northwest (OR, WA, Canada, CA, AZ, TX, NM, UT, ID, NV,OK). Some spell the name Casner, some spell the name Carsner, one even spelled the name Carsoner. A Few Known Related Families: Kestner, Kerschner, Wright Tallent, Irons, Williams, Stanton, Woolsey, Stone/Stien/Stein, Sherrod Fields, Freel, Pitner, Fields, Grover Parkinson, Robinson, Frakes, Turnbull, Olney, Cannan, Taylor, Dunham, Hayworth, Olney Meade, Miller, Frezell/Frizell I would like to hear from anyone who may or may not be connected to my particular Casner line.
