    3. Don't know if I'm still stbscribed to this list or not but will give it a try. They had six children: John 'Jack Casner - born 1801, married several times, died in MO. Henry Casner - born circa 1802, married, had 12-13- children, died in IA. Judy Casner - bor circa 1803, died in Carrol County, MO as a young child. Eben/Ebenezer Casner - born circa 1810, married, had five children; probably died in Carroll County, MO circa 1845. Charlotte Casner - born circa 1813, married, had several children. William John S. Casner - born circa 1817; believed to have died in Washington Co. AR. 3. Hi Liz, I am researching the following CASNER's in PA: Solomon CASNER b 8 May 1800 Blair Co, PA. Married Susanna Dilling b 3 Feb 1806 Clover Creek, Blair Co, PA. I am descended through their daughter Anna CASNER (b 24 Feb 1833) and I believe (but have not verified) that their other children were Sophia, Susanna, John, Elizabeth, and Rebecca. I have information that indicates that Solomon CASNER's father was John Casner (b 1756 Lancaster Co), that his grandfather was also John CASNER (b 1732 near Lewistown, Mifflin Co, PA0 , and that his great-grandfather was either John or Jacob CASNER (born 1705 Germany, arrived at Phila in early 1700's), but I have not verified any of this. Have found stories telling that Solomon's grandfather was kidnapped and raised by Indians, and married one . Solomon's father also supposedly married an indian girl by the name of Magdalena. They were supposed to have had 5 children, but I have not found any information on any other than Solomon. Where in PA were your CASNER's from? 3. I am researching my Casner/Carsner/Carsoner surname (most often spelled Casner). In so doing, it has become necessary for me to maintain some 50+ FTM data bases on various Casner lines (some extensive, some only a few names). I have to believe out there somewhere are Casner/Carsner/Carsoner descendants of my line that will be able to give me some clues in order to fill in the last few ramining gaps of my line. In the meantime, I would like to hear from any Casner researcher/descendant - perhaps we can help one another in our research. 1. Casner and Related Surnames
    2. Liz Freeman
    3. I have been researching my Casner surname for several years, but still have a few gaps (mostly with the women of whom I do not know who they married). I have to believe out there somewhere are persons of my particular line that can give me clues where to find informaiton to filling in missing gaps. My Casner family arrived in MO in 1821; many descendants in MO and surrounding states. One son, Henry Casner, marries in 1822 in Ray Co., MO to Jincy Jane Fields. They have 12 sons and 1 daughter. They live between MO and IA and in 1847 in IA Henry dies leaving Jincy with all those children. In 1852 Jincy and all but one son migrate to OR. From there the sons spread throughout the West and Pacific Northwest (OR, WA, Canada, CA, AZ, TX, NM, UT, ID, NV,OK). Some spell the name Casner, some spell the name Carsner, one even spelled the name Carsoner. A Few Known Related Families: Kestner, Kerschner, Wright Tallent, Irons, Williams, Stanton, Woolsey, Stone/Stien/Stein, Sherrod Fields, Freel, Pitner, Fields, Grover Parkinson, Robinson, Frakes, Turnbull, Olney, Cannan, Taylor, Dunham, Hayworth, Olney Meade, Miller, Frezell/Frizell I would like to hear from anyone who may or may not be connected to my particular Casner line.

    2. Liz Freeman
    3. Hello List: Are there any Casner/Carsner/Carsoner descendants/researchers out there in cyber space somewhere. My line is that of Henry Casner who married Jincy Jane Fields in 1822 in Ray County MO. They floated between MO and IA in between that time and the late 1840s. Henry died in IA in 1847 leaving Jincy with 12 sons and 1 daughter. Several of the sons were forever in trouble with the law, the natives, and the army. IN 1852 the family migrated to OR arriving there in October. I would like to know what became of Eben/Ebenezer Casner and Benjamin Casner (two of the sons). There is no record of them in OR. Did they die in IA? Did they die on the trail? Also would like to know what became of Henry Casner (a son) who is last found on DLC records in OR in the early 1860s. Also would like to know what became of James 'Jim' A. Carsner (a son) who is last found on the 1890 Veterans Census in OR> I have extensive research information that I am willing to exchange with descendants of this line.

    3. It has come to light that Thomas 'Tom' H. Carsoner (born 5-26-1869 West Point, Calaveras County died 12-28-1953 Sonora, Tuolumne County, CA) appears to be a descendant of William Casner (born 1825 IA) who was murdered in 1-1877 in Palo Duro Canyon, TX. Tom Carsoner married Rosa 'Rosie' George and they had eleven children (still need to verify 2-3 of these). The children were: (1) Nettie Carsoner (b.7-12-1893 Skull Flats, Calaveras Co) married Mr. Dela Vega (2) Leula 'Lulu' Carsoner (b3-16-1897 Railroad Flat, Calaveras Co., CA) (3)Henriett 'Etta/Annie' Carsoner (b3-15-1901 Calaveras Co., CA) married a Mr. Fuller. (4) Jennie Carsoner (b1903) - may have died young (5) Ella Carsoner (b. 1905) may have died young (6) Alice Carsoner (b.5-20-1905 Calaveras County) married #1 George Amore, and #2 Mr. Pruitt. (7) Dan Carsoner (b.4-25-1909 Sheep Ranch, Calaveras County, CA) (8) Elbert Carsoner (b.6-1909) either died young or is the same person as #7. (9)Bessie L. Carsoner (b.12-17-1909 Calaveras County) married a Mr. Duncan (10) Mary L. Carsoner (b.11-7-1913) married a Mr. Cox (11) Unknown Male Infant) born 1914 died 12-12-1918) - have found a death notice of this ifant; name not given; may be Elbert Carsoner in #8 above. This family left many descendants in Calaveras and Tuolumne Counties and other counties in California. I would like to make contact with descendants in order to clarify some of the ancestry and the identify of the children. I have extensive information on the family of William Casner and his 12 brothers and 1 sister that I am willing to share with persons connected to this line.
