I've "rescued" two old photographs belong to the WADDLE Family of Oregon. The first is a photograph of Winona WADDLE which was taken at the H. D. Graves Studio in Roseburg, OR. Winona is just an infant at the time it was taken, likely in the 1890's or early 1900's. The second photograph is of Wellington & Leona WADDLE and was taken at the same studio, again, likely in the 1890's or early 1900's. Wellington appears to be in his 30's or 40's and Leona in her 20's at the time. Based on limited research I was able to find the following information regarding this WADDLE Family: Wellington W. WADDLE was b. 15 Feb 1860 in Illinois to parents Samuel M. WADDLE (1836-1916) and Jane Caroline MORRIS (b. 1837). Wellington was one of 5 children born to this couple including, Alamander; Wellington; James; Herbert; and Leman WADDLE all born between 1858 and 1869. Wellington married Leona D. BRYAN about 1898 in Oregon and together the couple had one child, Winona WADDLE b. Sept 1899 in Oregon. It appears that Wellington and Leona divorced and Wellington died 14 Aug 1930 in Portland, OR. Leona Dell BRYAN was born 30 Oct 1881 in Corvallis, OR to parents John Clayton or Clayborne BRYAN (b. Nov 1858 in Elmira, OR) and Florence Fidelia WINKLE (b. 1855 in Butte, OR) Leona was one of 5 children born to this couple including, Leona D.; Delmar J.; Dale L.; Darrell Frank; and Mildred Lucinda BRYAN, all born in Oregon between 1881 and 1899. After divorcing Wellington, Leona was married a second time to Wallace P. CHILDERS (1885-1945) and she died 11 Jun 1949 in Siskiyou, CA and is buried in the Rest-Haven Memorial Park in Eugene, OR.
