I did find a couple of Monroe names that could be related, but without further info. can not be certain. I was hoping the ranch was large enough that it might have been recorded somewhere. I did find a Monroe Ranch Rd. in another county, but no explanation for the name. Thomas South could just have been buried where he died, maybe on the trail and any marker long gone.
