    3. SURPRISE VALLEY RECORD – CEDARVILLE, MODOC COUNTY, CAL. WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 9, 1921 Born – In Cedarville, cal., Feb. 2, 1921, to the wife of A. R. Johnstone, a boy, weight 10 œ pounds. WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 23, 1921 Charles Wilson underwent a surgical operation last week at Dr. Coates’ Sanitarium, and is getting along as well as could be expected. Ellis Adams left last week for Reno for medical treatments for his side and back for injuries received by one of the big guns he handled. We hoped he will receive relief. Mrs. Frank Kerr has purchased Miss Gay Delmas’ Millinery business and will conduct the same in the future. Read her announcement else where in today’s paper. Edwin S. Pickard, editor of the Adin Argus, and Mrs. Martha A. Auble were married on the 6th inst. The Record extends hearty congratulations to the newly wedded couple and wishes them all possible happiness. W. A. Johnstone and S. A. Johnstone have both been seriously ill at the home here of the former, but at this writing, both are reported slightly better. S. A. Johnstone was stricken with a paralytic stroke and was brought up from Eagleville last week. Walter’s illness was brought on by acute stomach trouble.
