Mrs. Botjer was formerly Miss Lovella DELANEY. Died: B. E. BAKER, formerly of Fort Jones, in Napa, 28 Dec. Survived by widow and 2 children. Funeral in Mt. Shasta. Died: Frank HELNEY (???Henley? my notes), pioneer miner of Sawyers Bar, Thursday night in Etna. Member of Marion IOOF in Sawyers Bar. 68 years, native of Pennsylvania. *Married: Miss. Ruth BEARD and John COX in Berkeley. She is sister of Mrs. Everett MURDICK. He has brother Ronald COX. She was graduate of UC Berkeley. She is daughter of M/M James BEARD of Oakland. He is son of M/M James COX of Amador County. On Christmas Eve 1929. 10 January 1930 Died: Mrs. Abbie DAVIDSON LOWD. Accident in Salem, OR, on 6th of January. She is sister of W.T. DAVIDSON and Bern DAVIDSON of Ft. Jones. Funeral in Fort Jones Friday. Married: Hale T. WELSH and Miss Iva ROBINSON this week. She is daughter of M/M Kearny ROBINSON of Etna. He is businessman of Yreka. Died: Nathan Jacob MALLOW, age 84, in Fort Jones today. Funeral Odd Fellows Fort Jones. 17 January 1930 Died: Hiram D. SHEAVER, Saturday night in Nevada City. Had mined in Scott Bar. Married Jennie TOTTEN. Native of Carlisle, PA. Age 74. Survived by widow, 2 daughters, 1 son. Married: Mrs. Olive REDMANN in Montesano, WA, Dec 11. Married to Ralph HUGHES of near Etna. 3 children survived. After Mr. HUGHES' death, she had married Mr. REDMAN. Born: M/M Alex RITZ, on Jan 11 in Cleveland, Ohio, a son. Born: Twin sons, to M/M Raymond DYER in Yreka, Jan 11. One infant died after birth, buried in family plot in Etna. 24 January 1930 *Died: Mrs. Frances Adeline JOHNSTON, wife of John B. JOHNSTON of Hamburg. Following an operation, in Yreka, last Sunday. Buried Masonic cemetery in Fort Jones. Survived by daughters Mrs. Henry GARBER of Mariposa and Mrs. Orris WILSON, and a son in Alameda. Died: Mrs. Eunice Gertrude ZITTMAN of Quartz Valley, this Friday a.m. Age 78, native of Illinois. He is a US Marine Corps pilot. 7 March 1930 *Died: Mrs. Maggie SALSTROM at home in Eureka. 3 March 1930, due to heart complaint. Age 77. Survived by Jonah (my notes: Jonas) and 3 daughters an 4 sons, daughter Mrs. M.F. SMITH. Funeral Eureka. Born: M/M Herbert YOUNG in Yreka, 4 March 1930, son Herbert Eugene. She is formerly Miss Emily WAGNER of Etna. 14 March 1930 Died: Mrs. Walter TICKNER, in Oakland, at home of son Perry TICKNER, 14 February. Funeral in Chico.
