Osborn, formerly of Lookout, Modoc Co., Cal. DIED HEATON - In Ono, Cal., Jan. 21, 1894, Emma E. Heaton, aged 25 years, 11 months, and 11 days. Mrs. Emma Elizabeth Heaton was born on Clover Creek, Shasta Co., Feb. 10, 1868, and was married to Geo. D. Heaton July 21, 1886. She died at our home in Ono, Sunday, Jan. 21, 1894, at one o'clock, after an illness of one week. She had just come up from her home at Anderson the week previous on a visit to us, and on her way took a severe cold which settled into pneumonia, and to which she finally succumbed. She leaves a loving husband, four children, (two of them twins), three sisters and three brothers to mourn her loss, which is almost unbearable. Sister, thou wast mild and lovely, Gentle as a summer breeze, Pleasant as the air of evening, When it floats among the trees. Dearest sister, thou hast left us, Here thy loss we deeply feel. But 'tis God who hath bereft us, He can all our sorrows heal. HEATON- In Ono, Cal., Jan. 22, 1894, Elma Elizabeth Heaton, Aged 1 month and 23 days. Our little darling twin girl was called from us after suffering two days with pneumonia. Sleep on in thy beauty, Thou sweet angel child, By sorrow unblighted, By sin undefiled. Like the dove of the ark, Thou hast flown to thy rest, >From the wild sea of strife To the home of the blest. HEATON- In Ono, Cal.,Jan. 28, 1894, George Elmo Heaton, aged 2 months. Again death invaded our home and took from us our little darling twin boy. Another little lamb has gone To dwell with Him who gave; Another little darling babe Is sheltered in the grave. God needed one more angel child Amidst His shining band, And so he bent with loving smile And clasped our darling's hand. The mother and babes were interred in the cemetery at Ono, where we now have six loved ones at rest. Miss May is a daughter of Martin Osborn who formerly resided here. May they always be Rich. "Love laughs at locksmiths" is an old saying exemplified in the marriage of Jimmy Howell to Mary Turnbull, Feb. 11, 1894, Rev. Geo. W. Howell officiating.
