    3. Sorry I got cut off.  I found Bassett's Station online and it was still in existence a few years ago.  I think it is a resort now, but there were several pictures.    I don't remember the name Pride in the information about the history but you might check online and contact the owners.  I am sure they would be interested in any history you have and would be glad to tell you or point you to someone who knew some of the family.   Records for Sierra City are in Downieville and also Sacramento at the State Library.  Hope this helps.  Pat Morano ________________________________ From: "[email protected]" <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Saturday, March 14, 2009 3:01:57 AM Subject: CASIERRA Digest, Vol 4, Issue 6 Today's Topics:   1. After the 1880 census there was no more information about Lillie.. In the summer of 2006 my husband and I made a trip up to Sierra City to see the place where my father was born and raised. I visited the cemetery and I could not find any evedents of the Prides had ever been buried there.  By the Baruch's death certificate says that he was buried in the cemetery.  My father said that when you go into the gate and head straight up the hill all the way back to the fence is the family plot.  Well I walked all the way up there and we walked the whole cemetery and didn't find them anywhere's,  My greatgrandfather was a prominent member of the Sierra City and you would think there would be more information about him then the census reports and death certificates. If anyone knows any information on what I have put in this email..  I also have other grandparent's that also have graves in the same cemetery and I found them.  I would appreciate any information or where to research this family.  I know there has to be some history also of this family, since my grgrandfather was the owner of the Pride Mine at Bassett Station. Thanks for any information Larinda ------------------------------ To contact the CASIERRA list administrator, send an email to [email protected] To post a message to the CASIERRA mailing list, send an email to [email protected] __________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to [email protected] with the word "unsubscribe" without the quotes in the subject and the body of the email with no additional text.
