H. Merritt, also near LaPorte. Both burial places most probably are part of Sierra County, but are associated with LaPorte in old records. Specifically, Eliza is seeking latitude/longitude of those grave locations, as well as digital photographs of any grave marker that may exist at those locations. The Pine Grove graves (3 known ones for John Harper, Maria Thurston and Eleanora VanWindle) are supposed to be located approximately 7 miles northeast of LaPorte, on the east side of Table Rock Road. The Flume Camp grave is supposed to be located 6 miles southeast of LaPorte, on what has been referred to in the past as Happy Hollow Road.
