Ireland @1826) who traveled from Ohio to California in the early 1850's as a speculator in search of gold perhaps. I am not sure where in California he may have traveled; the only information I have been able to track down on him is that he is on the 1852 California Census living in Sierra. He left California somewhere around 1854 or so since he had his second child back in Ohio in 1855. So the time he spent in California would have been probably between 1849 and 1854. Any information anyone could provide or any recommendations on where I should search next would be most appreciated. Thank you!
