The bachels were part of the family that the Erwins married into and are at that cemetary as well. Since William and Joseph were Brothers that would make William and Mary my Great Aunt and Uncle. The Downeville museum has the same history books that we have the first edition of regarding Sierra County. I have the page marked with William and his family in a 1911 Cadillac taken in 1912 in Scales showing them as having what is believed to be the first vehicle in Northern Sierra County. We never knew what happened to that side of the family and I keep the page marked to do a little digging when I have time.
