He was born in 1878 in San Francisco. He moved around a lot, but he seems to have settled in Sierra county in the 30's (Calpine) and then Loyalton in the 1940's. He worked all his life as a saw filer. I suspect that he died in Loyalton, but I cannot find him in the California death records. The last "sighting" I have for him is the 1944 voter registration, where he and his wife Laura were registered voters in Loyalton. He also filled out his WWII draft registration in 1942 in Loyalton. I don't know how many cemetaries are in Loyalton, but I would appreciate it if anyone local could check and see if he is buried there.
