I'm interested in Mary Emma Newman, daughter of David and Roxy. She seems to have married twice; the second husband was Harry V. Mondor; the first is the one that interests me, said to be Allan Nicholson, married in 1877. I do not find them in the 1880 census, though I find James Nicholson, living and working at a saw mill; census says he is married, but obviously wife not with him at work. Are these two Nicholsons the same? If not, do you know anything about Allan Nicholson? I'm following Mary Emma's daughter, Mary Ellen Nicholson(?) who married Albert E. Simpson.
