They are both about the same person. The Social Secuirty Death Index for earlier death records used the heading of Last Residence but often that was where the last benefit check was mailed to and NOT the last residence. Later records have a line for Last Residence and another line for Benefit Mailed To. Therefore Zella did die in Nevada Co., California In 1930 she and her husband are living in Grass Valley, Nevada Co., CA. Cora E. Woods, head household, b. NY, 72, widow, no occupation. Willidam D., son, b. CA, 46, single, farm laborer. Thelda M., granddau, b. CA, 15, single. John C. , son, b. CA, 36, married and can't read his occupation. Zella J., daulaw, b. CA, 37, married. Regarding her obituary, you can contact the Doris Foley Library for Historical Research, 530-265-4606, mynevadacounty.com/library/index.cfm?ccs=603&cs=432 OR Nevada County Genealogical Society Research Policy, rootsweb.ancestry.com/~cancgs/research_policy.htm .
