I'm sorry, but are you refering to a Berkey WWII enlistment? There were other Berkey's in California, but not a grandfather and not as closely related as John who died in Sierra County. The other more distant family lived more on the coast. Fill me in if you found a WWII enlistment for any of the California Berkey's.
