My mother said it was on the old LaPorte road by Howland flats. She said it was near Port Wine which are old towns no longer there. My pioneer ancestors settled in Sierra County in the 1850's, also in Plumas County. I have a great deal of information on this area if you are interested. Kathleen Decker
