Hi all, I just found some information on Marshall Mitchell of Redding. He was a Marshal (yes, Marshal Marshall Mitchell) in Redding, first elected in 1885 and serving for many years. He was reported to come with his father when he was about 11 in 1859. His father was named Isaac Mitchell and the family had 7 children, I think I know the names of 4 of them. This is what I think I know: 1. Isaac1 Mitchell was born in PA, and died 1865 in Shasta Co, CA. He married Esther Alexander August 11, 1836 in Fountain, Fountain, IN.
