Hi, Knew my 1900 map would come in hadny. you mention Cow Creek makes me look again. different part of the country. and would you beleive it? there is a Clough creek about ?2 miles over from Cow creek both running N to S Cow creek almost goes dry in summer and Clough creek is asmaller than that. McCloud river is over the mountian from Cow Creek and is fair sized. In 1900 it ran into the Pit river then they both ran into Sacramento River at the town of Kennett now under Shasta Lake.
