    2. Hi all this was in the local paper found it interesting! Janie In 1899: Shasta County High School opens in a rented home. In 1902: New Shasta County High School built. In 1915: Shasta Union High School District organizes. In 1927: Shasta High School built (now Shasta Learning Center). In 1955: Enterprise High School opens. In 1956: Central Valley High School opens. In 1967: Shasta College built east of Redding, Shasta High moves to its current site; Nova High School opens at the former site; Pioneer High School opens. In 1991: Nova High School closes; Foothill High takes over that campus. In 1992: Central Valley High leaves the Shasta district, unifies with Shasta Lake-area schools. In 1993: Churn Creek High School opens. In 1999: Foothill High moves to Palo Cedro; Shasta Learning Center opens at Foothill's former site.
