ANNA LYDA WHITEMAN DIES Mrs. Anna Lyda Whiteman, 72, of Project City, died at the county hospital today after an extended illness. She had been a resident of Shasta county for the past 62 years. Funeral services will be announced by McDonald's Chapel. Mrs. Whiteman leaves her husband, Harry Whiteman of Project City; a daughter, Mrs. Rosie W. Strode of Redding; four sons, Harold D. Eubanks of Placerville; H.L. Eubanks of Washington, Master Sgt. Stanley Eubanks and Sgt. Floyd K. Eubanks of the U.S. Army; several grandchildren, Mrs. James Hues, Mrs. Venn Gentry, Ted Strode, John Strode, Mrs. Spud Murphy, Velma Kendall; a cousin, Clarence Cummings of Redding; a stepson, Claude Whiteman of Redding; and a stepdaughter, Rose Kennedy.
