Janie, and ISHI was a YANA, yes? But by 1880/1890 this question of what tribe ANNA FISHER might be from, gets terribly complicated, it seems to me? What with the wars of annihilation that occured, the Indians driven out of many areas and scattered to the four winds; the Indians brought from all over the country by west immagrants, the "absorption" of Indians into white ranks by marriage with identity often concealed on purpose ? Without some sort of data I can see no way it could be assumed she even came from any local tribes? Remember that by 1915 (I think?)
