(By the way, one of Marcet's obits states that it was she who stipulated the hyphenation of the surnames before her marriage to Emanuel.) Emanuel died July 31 1951 in Girard KS. The obits in big newspapers didn't give his family information, but perhaps a more local newspaper would make reference to Josephine; by then Aubrey was remarried, so it may be very revealing to find a local obit or funeral home records or will/probate. I found a tree online that gave the following information for Emanuel & Marcet's children. Perhaps one of their obits would make reference to Josephine. a) Alice Haldeman Julius, * ... 26 May 1917, ... Sept. 1991. Married. Details of marriage and issue suppressed. b) Henry Haldeman Julius, from ... , Henry Julius Haldeman, * ... 1 Nov. 1919, ... 7 Jan. 1990. Unmarried. I wonder whether anything about the family is archived there. Interesting to see that in 1910 Emanuel JULIUS was in NY, and is enumerated as married/years unknown. I found reference to Josephine's birth date (1909Sep18) in Bridgeport Telegram, 1927Dec06, page 6. This is not consistent with her age of 11 months in the 1910 census, which would put her birth at about May 1909. I also found the interesting SSDI entry below. Birthdate doesn't match, but if I remember correctly the newspapers were referring to Josephine as age 16 in November 1927, so she may have believed she was born in 1911.
