    3. As I mentioned in an earlier email, HeritageQuest won't be available on Godfrey much longer. But, it is available through many libraries and genealogical societies. Dick Eastman's Online Genealogy Newsletter has a new page up with a list of libraries & societies that have access: http://www.eogen.com/HeritageQuestOnline I just entered these resources for the Bay Area: San Francisco Public Library <http://sfpl.org/sfplonline/dbcategories.htm> Sunnyvale Public Library <http://sunnyvale.ca.gov/Departments/Library/Databases.htm> Oakland Public Library <http://www.oaklandlibrary.org/databaselist.htm> Do you know of more? Also, the California Genealogical Society <http://www.calgensoc.org/> Ron >Date: Wed, 28 Dec 2005 16:51:22 -0800 >To: [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], [email protected] >From: Ron Filion <[email protected]> >Subject: Godfrey Library > >Well, I just read something unfortunate about one of my favorite libraries, Godfrey Library. Apparently, ProQuest/HeritageQuest Online had a problem with them and are pulling their access. Current subscribers will still have access until the end of 2006 or whenever your subscription runs out (mine does in March). New subscribers won't be given access. I am presuming this affects their census collection and on-line books. > >All of this was mentioned in this blog entry: ><http://www.genealogyblog.com/?p=4669> > >In the meantime, many other libraries (especially in the San Francisco Bay area) also have access to HeritageQuest for their patrons. > >Regards, > >Ron
