Ruys, 78, 680 Wallea Drive, Menlo Park, died today at Sequoia Hospital of an illness. He was a chemical engineer and a native of Holland. He is survived by two sons, Dr. Frank C. Ruys of Woodside and J.M. Ruys of Livermore; two daughters, Mrs. Susan Houtman of Menlo Park and Constance Ruys of Macon, Ga., and ten grandchildren. Burial arrangements are under the direction of Crippen and Flynn Chapel, Redwood City.
