Guppy, 95, of San Mateo, who died in Mills Memorial Hospital on Monday, will be said at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church in San Mateo. A native of Marblehead, Mass., he was a San Mateo resident for 18 years. He was an apartment building owner. Surviving is his wife, Genevieve. The rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday and the funeral procession will begin at 9 a.m. Thursday, both at Sneider & Sullivan Funeral Home in San Mateo. Friends may call at the mortuary after noon on Wednesday. Entombment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in Colma. ***** GUPPY – In San Mateo, July 29, 1985, Chester B. Guppy, beloved husband of Mrs. Genevieve Guppy of San Mateo; survived by numerous nieces and nephews of Lynn, Massachusetts; pre-deceased by seven brothers and sisters.
