Born in Texas, he died at home Saturday. He had been a Redwood City resident for 15 years, moving there from Tracy. He had worked as a forklift operator for various produce companies in the Tracy area for 25 years until his retirement in 1981. He is survived by one son, Richard A. of Federal Way, Wash.; a daughter, Robbie Melear of Mabank, Texas; two brothers, H.T. of Fort Worth and Cleddie of Pearl River, La.; two sisters, Aline Kincy of Olney, Texas, and Faye Marnar of Fort Worth; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
