Jackson, 53, a Pacifica resident for 23 years, died Saturday at his home of cancer. A native of Hayward, England, he had been with the California Highway Patrol for 25 years before retiring. Survivors include his wife, Beverly, of Pacifica; a daughter, Janet Jackson, of Belmont; a sister, Jeanne Passarino, of Salinas; and his mother, Rose Jackson, of San Francisco. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Church of the Nativity, San Francisco, under direction of the Nauman & Lincoln Chapel by the Sea Mortuary, Pacifica. The ashes will be scattered from the Bay Bridge, his beat during his days as a CHP officer. The family prefers contributions to a favorite charity.
