Alden, UC Santa Cruz has a good list of Sanborn maps for San Mateo County and neighboring counties at: http://library.ucsc.edu/maps/sanborns.html I checked their list and some of the others they have links to. I didn't see any for Searsville or Woodside. UC Berkeley has a history of Sanborn at: http://www.lib.berkeley.edu/EART/snb-intr.html#intro Ron >Date: Sat, 10 Sep 2005 07:37:13 -0700 (PDT) >From: Alden Tagg <artagg@sbcglobal.net> >To: CASANFRA-L@rootsweb.com >Subject: Re: [CASANFRA] Sanborn Maps > >Are Sanborn maps available for anywhere in San Mateo >County? As of January 2006, all Informational copies have to be issued from the State's database and not the local counties. I spoke recently with one of the local County Clerk's offices. I was told that the State was NOT ready to do this. So, unless they get a legal extension, there may a significant delay (12 to 24 months). Ron

She died at the age of about 72 on 11 Feb 1993 at Redwood City, CA. We don't know her husband's first name but she had a son named Nick Larsen who also lived in California. I would gladly reimburse anyone who could check the area newspaper for this obituary. I'm hoping the local libraries would have it on microfilm.
I am trying to contact Robert K. Castle, whom I believe to be the son of a woman I was acquainted with some 55 years ago. Surnames: PETTIGREW FRENCH RUSSELL Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/UW.2ADI/2115 Message Board Post: I am trying to find the descendants and family of Beulah (Pettigrew) French Russell. She was the daughter of Thomas Pettigrew, b: 1858, IL. And Beulah's mother was either Catherine or Francis M. She was single in the 1920 Census, by 1930 Census she had a daughter named Glory and was using the French name. And she was divorced. When her father died (1948) she was using the name of Russell. There is some confusion as to her paternal grandparents as the names given in her fathers death certificate are incorrect. The family has a photo of which is labeled - Beulah's granddaughter (1958). Beulah may have been a nurse in the San Francisco area in 1920, and also in Tulsa, OK. In 1930 Beulah is living with her father, working as a bookkeeper. The death certificate of her father list the address of 519 Hillside, Daly City. And Beulah had a sister named Catherine, b: abt. 1905, KS. In the 1930 census Catherine was a stenographer. I think Beulah was b: 1898, MO. and died! June of 1969 in San Mateo, CA. The family is related to my Grandmother. Anyone know of this family?
