    1. Godfrey Library
    2. Ron Filion
    3. Well, I just read something unfortunate about one of my favorite libraries, Godfrey Library. Apparently, ProQuest/HeritageQuest Online had a problem with them and are pulling their access. Current subscribers will still have access until the end of 2006 or whenever your subscription runs out (mine does in March). New subscribers won't be given access. I am presuming this affects their census collection and on-line books. All of this was mentioned in this blog entry: <http://www.genealogyblog.com/?p=4669> In the meantime, many other libraries (especially in the San Francisco Bay area) also have access to HeritageQuest for their patrons. Regards, Ron

    3. Ron The Ancestry (Library Edition) is not working on the Library Catalog Computers, the only way to use right now is on the Internet computers, and also a viewer is not loaded. So maybe you know someone there who get it to work. ;-) George Ron Filion <[email protected]> wrote: The San Francisco Library system has added Ancestry (Library Edition) and HeritageQuest to their on-line databases. We think thomas william gare served in the 6th Dragoons from 1867 - 1888. He married in 1891 to a Frances Mary ROLFE. Had 4 children then moved to Canterbury. It is believed he died about 1909 and his wife went to live in southampton. His son Francis is my grandfather who served in the navy in WW1 and then joined the Met Police. There is a link with Southampton I think through Robert Gare`s brother - Richard who used the other spelling of GARE ie GEAR. I would be interested on any info re the KEYLOUGHER family.

Where the applicant was born, date, madien name of mother as well as the persons job at the current time. It does cost $16 dollars but well worth it. I have access to this database if you don't.
