Hi Mark, After my kids go back to school I can take a look at the CA Death Index (CADI) for you for an exact date of death on Walter Stowell. CADI will give you the county location of death, actual death date, soc. sec. number, spouse's initials if the spouse is surviving and the cert number so you can order the death certificate for more information, such as burial location, funeral home, etc. I can look for a Mary Stowell at the same time. CADI is available on fiche at my local library 1940-94. Not sure how many Watts locations there are but the infamous one is in Los Angeles county.
