Doreen, The person I am looking for is my great grandfather, Isaac Twing Trott, born about 1860 in Maine. The family story is that he came to California for his health, married, had two daughters, and then died in Nov 1892 when the younger daughter, my grandmother, was one year old. I did visit the Recorder's office in SLO when we were there in October of 1997, also the LDS Family History Center. The only records I found with the county were the delayed birth certificates for the girls and the burial record for Isaac. No death certificate for him. I found a funeral notice in the newspaper but no obit. Maybe I should have looked in later editions. Thanks for your info. Sally Bertine Hollister, CA
