Hello to everyone on the SLO list. My name is ROGER BENNETT CASTLE. I am a Morro Bay native, born in SLO in 1945. My father was MILES HARDY CASTLE. He emigrated from Kingston (London), England in 1927. In 1932 her married MARGARET JEAN BENNETT, of Templeton (CA). They had two children, myself and my sister, NANCY JOAN. We all lived in a large adobe home my father built in the 1930's I am working on three family lines at present. My father’s male line was traced by one of my uncles and is complete back to the 1400’s and sketchy back to the 1200’s. I have traced the BENNETT male line back the pre-Revolutionary New England and to Bristol, England. My maternal grandmother’s maiden name was MCCORMICK and I am beginning on that line. I am researching in Clark Co, Washington. (Pioneer, WA; just north of Vancouver). I would love to exchange e-mail about any of these names or places. I especially enjoy stories of Morro Bay 1930—1960.
