My great grandfather George BOEHNER Sr and his wife Catherine (LAUBENSTEIN) Boehner lived in San Luis Obispo County-- first at Creston and then over at the coast in SLO. George's sister married into the PAULUS family. And both were good friends and neighbors of the KLINTWORTHS. What I was wondering was whether anyone can tell me anything about the history of the little VILLAGE OF CRESTON. How did it get started? When? What ethnic group(s) settled there? What was its draw?
